Events and Demos Manager

We have an immediate, full-time opening for an Events & Demos Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Event and demo planning, prep, execution, and cleanup
  • Managing staff at events and sometimes demos
  • Managing money at events, including cash and credit card payments
  • Networking and creating connections at events
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies
  • Creating clear, concise, and coherent event and demo summaries
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
  • Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints
  • Knowing our products inside and out so that you can answer questions and speak knowledgeably about our company
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues respectfully
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and providing professional customer support
  • Regular out-of-town events and demos with overnights required
  • Weekly meetings with Management


Requirements:

  • Barista experience and general knowledge of coffee
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to successfully manage other people
  • Ability to work weekends and be out of town for up to 5 days at a time, on occasion
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to regularly lift 40+lbs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good with people
  • Strong, active listening skills
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Clean driving record
  • Flexibility
  • A good attitude!

Prior coffee experience is required; prior event management is a plus; experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Trello, and Slack is also encouraged. Must have a desire to work for a mission-driven company.
