Team Mam

The hands of many come together to bring you Café Mam coffee. It begins with the farmers but couldn't find its way to your cup without the dedicated team of people here at our roastery, filling each and every order, and making the company run smoothly: from packaging and shipping, delivery and maintaining our small fleet of biodiesel vehicles, to the friendly folks in the office processing orders, questions, and comments, and the rest of the team behind the scenes helping the magic happen. Of course, we're all about coffee but without these people to keep our operation running smoothly, there could be no Café Mam. These are our people.

Brad

Partner

Partner, Brad, is the mastermind and heart of Café Mam, making sure that each step the business takes will fall on solid ground. He’s careful not to let his boss-ship overshadow his friendship to everyone, cultivating a warm, open work environment for which we all thank our lucky stars. Brad facilitates many projects in the Eugene community and is always in great demand. His first loyalty, however, is always to his three beautiful kids - McKenzie, Logan, and Terran.

Dazzia

Director of Operations

Beginning in 1998 as a barista at Café Mam’s coffeeshop, Out of the Fog, Dazzia has expanded her involvement over the years to include Events Manager, Donation Coordinator and Director of Operations. She enjoys the ability to travel for the company, while spreading the word of Mam. With her bachelor's degree in Sustainability Education and Natural Resources, she brings a passion for keeping Café Mam on its toes when it comes to the most sustainable and ethical business practices.

John

Ben

Delivery

Our long distant runner, Ben, takes care of the Eugene - Portland delivery route, delivering beans to our wholesale accounts and bringing a personal touch to every one. He has over 15 years experience in the natural food industry; mostly buying organic produce directly from local farmers. The relationships cultivated and the knowledge from those farmer connections were among his favorite parts of the job. With an educational background in Latin American history and political science, Ben has a keen interest in Latin America. Outside of work, Ben is a father to two children and enjoys spending time with his family and being in the outdoors hiking, birding, botanizing, exploring, and climbing.

Megan

Wholesale Accounts Manager

Having studied Latin American History & Politics and Spanish language at the University of Oregon and worked serving migrant families, Megan’s experience provides an engaging lens through which to view Café Mam’s 35-year relationship with producer-owned cooperatives in Chiapas, Mexico. Her presentations touch on themes including coffee’s exploitative colonial origins, the pivotal emergence of producer-owned cooperatives, sustainable agroforestry, and the inspiring emergence of SPP Global as a champion for small-scale and indigenous producers in the global fair trade arena. With fresh photos and stories from Café Mam’s producer partners in Chiapas, Megan is available to present about these or any coffee-related topics from seed to cup for your organization. Email megan@cafemam.com for more information.
