Team Mam

The hands of many come together to bring you Café Mam coffee. It begins with the farmers but couldn't find its way to your cup without the dedicated team of people here at our roastery, filling each and every order, and making the company run smoothly: from packaging and shipping, delivery and maintaining our small fleet of biodiesel vehicles, to the friendly folks in the office processing orders, questions, and comments, and the rest of the team behind the scenes helping the magic happen. Of course, we're all about coffee but without these people to keep our operation running smoothly, there could be no Café Mam. These are our people.

In addition to still filling in as delivery driver when needed, he also helps coordinate the various coffee events (trade shows, conferences, music festivals, demos, etc.) that we do throughout the year. He enjoys the opportunity to travel for many of these events; sharing the organic coffee love wherever he goes. By night, he is a musician and songwriter.

She earned degrees in Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, and Women's & Gender Studies from the University of Oregon. Emily began her Mam Experience in 2014 starting with customer service in the office, and has since branched out into local deliveries, Southern deliveries to Ashland, and events large and small. She has found a happy place for herself in this amazing Mam family. Beyond the grind, Emily is a former board member on the Willamette Valley Sustainable Foods Alliance, where she learned valuable skills to connect and support local sustainable foods businesses. She also finds joy with friends and family, in our local music and arts scene, gardening, cooking, and crafting.

Brad

Partner

Partner, Brad, is the mastermind and heart of Café Mam, making sure that each step the business takes will fall on solid ground. He’s careful not to let his boss-ship overshadow his friendship to everyone, cultivating a warm, open work environment for which we all thank our lucky stars. Brad facilitates many projects in the Eugene community and is always in great demand. His first loyalty, however, is always to his three beautiful kids - McKenzie, Logan, and Terran.

Dazzia

Director of Operations

Beginning in 1998 as a barista at Café Mam’s coffeeshop, Out of the Fog, Dazzia has expanded her involvement over the years to include Events Manager, Donation Coordinator and Director of Operations. She enjoys the ability to travel for the company, while spreading the word of Mam. With her bachelor's degree in Sustainability Education and Natural Resources, she brings a passion for keeping Café Mam on its toes when it comes to the most sustainable and ethical business practices.

John

Partner, John, contributes his technical knowledge to Café Mam as director of our equipment program. John has served as blueberry farm manager and did a stint on the board of Oregon Tilth Certified Organic. John also serves Café Mam as an event co-coordinator and is in charge of organic certification. John’s grown children, Corey and Aeron, are now amazing baristas in their own rights... no surprise, when John is their trainer!

Ben

Delivery

Our long distant runner, Ben, takes care of the Eugene - Portland delivery route, delivering beans to our wholesale accounts and bringing a personal touch to every one. He has over 15 years experience in the natural food industry; mostly buying organic produce directly from local farmers. The relationships cultivated and the knowledge from those farmer connections were among his favorite parts of the job. With an educational background in Latin American history and political science, Ben has a keen interest in Latin America. Outside of work, Ben is a father to two children and enjoys spending time with his family and being in the outdoors hiking, birding, botanizing, exploring, and climbing.

Megan

Wholesale Accounts Manager

Megan studied the history and politics of Latin America and Spanish Language at the University of Oregon during the advent of the cooperative movement and dreamed of one day working for a company doing good work like Café Mam. She spent time serving the community through Migrant Education and the public schools before having her own children and fundraising for Eugene Waldorf School. She passionately stands in solidarity with our coffee cooperative partners in Chiapas, and the SPP (Small Producers Symbol) movement. As our Wholesale Accounts manager, Megan loves to help our customers learn more about the coops and the significance of SPP, while supporting them to carry Café Mam coffees in their store, café, nonprofit or workplace.

Leanna

Delivery & a Little Bit of Everything

Leanna, a native Oregonian, comes to us from the Mt. Hood area where she acquired her love for all things coffee. She's been in the coffee industry for 10 years and her considerable skills range from barista to roaster, to delivery driver and barista trainer! When not wowing people with her coffee skills, she wows us with her amazing voice, banjo and photography skills. Leanna says, "My free time is spent with my dog, and every day I strive to be a better version of myself."

Krista

Office, Delivery & Packing

Krista is a Minnesotan transplant who fell in love with Oregon after visiting her twin sister here several times over the past decade. Before landing at Café Mam, she worked in natural foods grocery stores for 10 years, and especially loved working for a co-op. "I love working for companies with good strong ethics which is why I jumped at the opportunity to work for Café Mam." When not working, Krista loves spending time with friends and family, and exploring Oregon and all its beauty! A Minnesotan at heart, she's still a big Minnesota Vikings football team fan and never misses watching the games on Sundays during football season.
